A Cut from Art

Collective Trauma & Creative Loss

Online | English

What will we be exploring in this Lab?

This lab will provide an environment for participants to work collectively to address and process layers of undigested trauma around creativity. This group does not focus on a particular collective trauma but provides a context to collectively presence and heal the larger forces that impact our creativity. We will look at the ways survival mechanisms have impeded our creative functioning, and the way post-traumatic resilience can be a resource of the creative process.

Who is invited to participate?

In this lab, we invite people who are blocked and frustrated in their artistic expression to join us on a healing journey through the individual, ancestral, and collective trauma layers that may stand between them and their deepest creative desires. This lab is for you if you experience; fear, freeze, despair, loss of inspiration, imposter syndrome, and at the same time a soul-calling to create.

More about the journey of the Lab

We will begin by building group coherence, creative resources and personal strengths. We will share our creative intentions and the blocks that stand in their way. The group will explore how our cultures hold creativity, and the places we feel nourished as well as the places we touch into resistance. Our lab will devote time to processes around personal, ancestral and collective trauma and how they impact our creative freedom. We invite participants to commit to a creative practice of their choice during the course of the lab, which they may or may not share in the lab.

When will we be meeting?

The lab will be on Mondays at 8am PST/11am EST/5pm European time to 10am PST/1pm EST/7pm CET.
