What will we be exploring in this Lab?
What does being Jewish mean to me?
What are my Jewish spiritual roots and how do I experience this connection? Which of my Jewish cultural roots support me and which don’t serve me? What happens in me as I explore being Jewish at this period of the world’s history? How does all of this appear in my sense of inner security, my grounding and sense of land, my right to be and my spiritual connection? How are these questions impacted by collective, ancestral and individual trauma?
Who is invited to participate?
People of Jewish heritage who are interested in exploring the topics of this lab.
More about the journey of the Lab
Our goal is to connect to all aspects of our Jewish belonging. This includes parts that we may turn away from or distance. We will also cultivate resources that speak deeply to us that have their roots in our Jewish culture, ancestry and spiritual practices. We will follow the basic arc of Thomas Hübl’s Collective Trauma Integration Process. This includes weaving a coherent, safe resourced space exploring the multi-faceted trauma landscape as it arises. We will listen to individual and collective voices. We will reflect and integrate the trauma that is available for healing. We will also reflect on and learn from our shared experience.
When will we be meeting?
We will meet 12 times from January 2024 - December 2024. Our meetings will be on Mondays at 11:00 am Eastern (US) Time. All meetings will be on the 3rd Monday of the month except June and December which will be on the 2nd Monday.
