SUMMARY:Aftermath of the Earthquake Morocco - Race Against Winter
DESCRIPTION:A month after the earthquake\, the number of those killed has risen to more than 2\,900\, with at least 5600 injured. Some of us have rushed to bring our support during the rescue phase\, and now\, the focus is switching to caring for survivors\, many of whom have lost everything\, including their loved ones. In this call\, we explored ways to witness presence to a disaster of such magnitude and spread our care and compassion to our Moroccan friends. \nUn mois après le tremblement de terre\, le nombre de personnes tuées s’élève à plus de 2 900 et celui des blessés à au moins 5 600. Certains d’entre nous se sont empressés d’apporter leur soutien pendant la phase de sauvetage\, et maintenant\, l’accent est mis sur les soins aux survivants\, dont beaucoup ont tout perdu\, y compris leurs proches. Dans cet appel\, nous avons exploré les moyens de témoigner de notre présence face à une catastrophe d’une telle ampleur et de transmettre notre attention et notre compassion à nos amis marocains.

SUMMARY:African Diaspora in Europe - Embracing a better Future
DESCRIPTION:Structures of systemic oppression\, as well as environmental crises\, have forcibly displaced Africans for over 400 years. Today\, 11 million reside in Europe\, mostly women\, and at least 80% are searching for a better future. The existential threat\, feelings of fear\, economic pressure\, stress\, isolation\, fragmentation\, and systemic racism faced in their daily lives can become overwhelming. We came together in this session to deepen global solidarity. \nWith Elizabeth Nyemkuna\, Gilbert Jassey &  Sonita Mbah & Kosha Joubert  \nStrukturen der systemischen Unterdrückung sowie Umweltkrisen haben die Afrikaner seit über 400 Jahren zwangsumgesiedelt. Heute leben 11 Millionen von ihnen in Europa\, zumeist Frauen\, und mindestens 80 % von ihnen sind auf der Suche nach einer besseren Zukunft. Die existenzielle Bedrohung\, das Gefühl der Angst\, der wirtschaftliche Druck\, der Stress\, die Isolation\, die Zersplitterung und der systemische Rassismus\, denen sie in ihrem täglichen Leben ausgesetzt sind\, können überwältigend werden.
