DESCRIPTION:Creating a warm and safe space for the presencing and integration of the individual\, ancestral and collective trauma and resilience of being Jewish. \nWe will meet monthly\, from 1600-1745 UK time\, with people who identify as having Jewish ancestry\, to explore aspects of our Jewish experience including: the presencing of our individual\, ancestral and collective trauma; the challenges of the current situation in the Middle East; aspects of both Jewish persecution and perpetration; internalised anti-semitism and whatever themes and experiences group participants bring to the call. \nOur intention is to create a warm\, welcoming and safe space in which such topics and experiences can be felt\, held within a field of group coherence and resonance\, and in this way to support our individual and collective capacity to reflect\, digest and integrate what arises. \nDaylight savings time in North America starts on March 9. You can check time conversion here. We will include an honoring of Purim during this session\, a joyous celebration of our Jewish resilience. We offer our sincere apologies that we cannot provide alternative timing for those who may be unable to attend. DESCRIPTION:Hand-in-hand with the Pocket Project Trauma Relief Project  \nNow in its 20th year\, the Joint Memorial Ceremony organised by Combatants for Peace and the Parents Circle – Families Forum is a beacon of hope in the darkness. Through testimonies from bereaved Israeli and Palestinian families\, musical performances\, and messages of peace from human rights leaders\, we explore how\, even in the face of unimaginable loss\, we can still choose humanity over hatred and hope over despair. The Joint Memorial Ceremony is the largest Israeli-Palestinian peace event in history. This year’s ceremony will be livestreamed on April 29\, 2025. \nJoin us at the Pocket Project in solidarity to bear witness and refuse to accept that war is our destiny. We will meet at 19:15 CET/ 1:15pm EST/10:15am PST to arrive together\, watch the ceremony in community and have some space afterwards to hear voices. SUMMARY:The Singular Voice - Writing into Places that Struggle to Speak
DESCRIPTION:This community call will focus on embracing the world through our voices\, unpacking the fine details of the creative writing process as a meditation\, as an offering to our sacred world. \nWhat happens in the midst of mass tragedy in the moments when the bombs strike and life breaks open? These unspeakable horrors are both unbearable and often hidden from a witnessing eye. Is it possible that even through the suffering and death\, we can give voice to the words calling forth from these moments? How does the “I” sense\, attune to\, and communicate with – and within – these situations? In this conversation we will explore the possibility that consciousness\, intimacy\, and a field of awareness can be accessed through the power of the word. As activists\, spiritual practitioners\, meditators\, we each possess a distinct voice that can enter the collective experience\, embrace compassionately those who endure silent horrors\, and give voice to the longing we all have for collective healing and restoration as these tragedies continue. \nIn this community call\, we will explore: \n\nThe creative process of witnessing as inspiration for writing poetry and other experimental forms of creative writing during times of crisis\nHow a frequency of unconditional love can inspire the poetic process\nFoundational practices and exercises that can help expand one’s experience as a writer at any level\nThe delicate balance of bringing one’s voice and awareness into periods of crisis and mass destruction\, while sustaining one’s own joy and lightness as a gift to this process\nTrauma-informed writing: Engaging with traumatic events and those impacted by trauma with authenticity\, self-awareness\, and sensitivity\n\nTo prepare for the call\, please read Lori’s poem “Witness: Target = Rubble” \n

Our inner world is in turmoil\, while we grapple with nightmares and the weight of what we have seen\, yet we navigate institutions and communities that seem oblivious to the reality we live in. These institutions\, to which we have given our time and energy\, continue with “business as usual\,” while two million people trapped in a cage are being mass murdered with either the complicity or active participation of their governments. And you are asked to play pretend as well and go with “business as usual.” \nHow are we managing this immense challenge? How do we confront the hypocrisy of this moment? Is it possible to maintain authentic connections when our deepest emotions and our fundamental sense of reality are neither acknowledged nor welcomed? How do we deal with the hurt that we carry and the sense of betrayal by friends\, colleagues\, and institutions? \nWe do not offer easy solutions or definitive answers. Instead\, we offer a temporary digital space where we can be seen and heard by each other and recognize the profound pain we are experiencing. We provide a space for sharing our collective experiences and the lessons we have learned so far. \nWho is Invited: This session is specifically for Palestinians in the diaspora who are navigating this complex reality\, whether within their workplaces\, institutions\, or informal social structures. We also warmly welcome other affected individuals and allies who have experienced similar challenges.

Now\, on May 15th\, we invite you to join its sister event\, the Joint Nakba Remembrance Ceremony\, organised by Combatants for Peace and shared with you through the Pocket Project. This annual event continues the work of shared mourning\, deep listening\, and steadfast hope for a different future. \nThis year’s theme\, “Holding onto Home\, Holding onto Hope\,” speaks powerfully to this moment in history. The ceremony reflects on the enduring cycle of displacement and loss that Palestinians have experienced since 1948. And yet\, it also looks ahead. It affirms a vision of peace rooted in justice and dignity—a future in which Palestinians are not defined by displacement\, but by their right to live freely and securely. \nHolding onto home is about more than geography. It is a commitment to reconciliation—not only for individuals\, but for the land itself. It is a call to weave peace into the shared identity of all who call this place home. We are witnessing a crisis of humanity—and we must refuse to look away. Our hearts are large enough to hold all who are suffering. We stand with life\, believing that every child deserve. \nJoin us at the Pocket Project in solidarity to bear witness and refuse to accept that war is our destiny. DESCRIPTION:We invite you to gather in heartbreak—and in an act of courage\, choosing to practice relating to all sides at a time when tension\, polarization and fragmentation continues to rise. \nAs the devastation and terror in Gaza continues and the humanitarian crisis deepens\, with children dying daily of hunger\, medical infrastructure collapsing and the consequences of over 55\,000 killed\,  as raids escalate in the West Bank\, and as people in Israel grapple with existential fear following the horror of the 7th of October 2023\, the continuing detention of hostages and the 12-day war with Iran\, you are invited to bring your presence to a space of grounding and witnessing. \nThis Global Social Witnessing call is not a space for political debate. It is a space for presence. A space to feel—together—the grief\, the horror\, the numbness\, the tenderness. A space to witness the pain of lives lost\, the disintegration of trust\, and the fragile flickers of human connection that still remain. \nWe will be joined by Rana Salman and Eszter Koranyi\, the Palestinian and Israeli Co-Directors of Combatants for Peace—a binational movement of former soldiers and combatants who now walk a path of nonviolence\, dialogue\, and a shared search for liberation. Their leadership offers us a model of what is possible when we give ourselves to a relational practice in the face of rupture. \nTogether\, we will turn toward this moment with our bodies\, our breath\, and our not-knowing. Bearing witness to heartbreak is not passive. It is a subtle act of care\, a weaving of the torn fabric of our shared humanity.\nLet us meet—across time zones\, identities\, and experiences—to hold this pain and love\, side by side.
