On Tuesday November 5th, Donald Trump was elected President and the Republican party gained control of the Senate and possibly the House of Representatives. Trump supporters are delighted with the outcome while many who opposed his election are experiencing uncertainty and fear. After one of the most polarized elections in the country’s history, the Trump team has begun its plans for his Presidency, and opponents are mobilizing to resist many of the steps he has said he intends to take.
Among the opposition’s concerns are concerns how the new administration will respond to multiple national and global challenges including the Climate Crisis, the subject of the Pocket Project’s upcoming Climate Consciousness Summit. We will sit together, witness the range of our felt experiences in response to these events, including and honoring the places where it is challenging for us to stay related to ourselves and others.
Manda Johnson and Robert Buxbaum are co-founders of the Pocket Project’s Global Social Witnessing Competence Centre, founders of www.worldwitnessing.org and co-creators and facilitators of the Webinar series Witnessing the World in Me/And Me in the World. They are both graduates of Thomas’ Hübl’s Timeless Wisdom and Pocket Project trainings and members of his Core Group.
In addition to her work with Global Social Witnessing, Manda facilitates groups of business executives in leadership development and works as a trauma informed coach and somatic therapist.
