On Tuesday November 5th, voters in the U.S. will select both a new President for the next four years and Senators and Representatives, determining party control of the two houses of Congress. At stake is how the country will respond to multiple global challenges including the Climate Crisis, the subject of the Pocket Project’s upcoming Climate Consciousness Summit.
The election results are predicted to be very close, and may produce a narrow victory by either party and potentially disputes about the outcome. The weeks after the election may produce uncertainty and fear, and challenge our capacity to be with our felt experience. We will sit together, witness the election results and any ensuing events, supporting each other as we share our experiences, and include and honor the places where it is challenging for us to stay related.
Manda Johnson and Robert Buxbaum are co-founders of the Pocket Project’s Global Social Witnessing Competence Centre, founders of www.worldwitnessing.org and co-creators and facilitators of the Webinar series Witnessing the World in Me/And Me in the World. They are both graduates of Thomas’ Hübl’s Timeless Wisdom and Pocket Project trainings and members of his Core Group.
In addition to her work with Global Social Witnessing, Manda facilitates groups of business executives in leadership development and works as a trauma informed coach and somatic therapist.
