What will we be exploring in this Lab?
Through a deeper sensing of how wild and ownership/property live in each of us, our intention is to support the surfacing and integration of disconnection, numbing, fear, perpetration, and victim layers that inform decision-making, habits, attitudes, and behaviors regarding wild land, animals and plants. By attuning to our individual, ancestral, and collective field, we will investigate what arises and what are possible futures and alternatives for relating to wild land, plants and animals including reciprocity, stewardship, and communion.
Who is invited to participate?
The lab is designed for participants who are longing to feel a more intimate relating and connecting to land and who are interested in exploring the wounds in relation to wild land and non-human inhabitants. We are inviting participants who are interested in exploring our relating to land inhabited by plants and animals, including borders, nations, and various ownership structures (ie., common land, privately owned, government owned, corporate owned, Indigenously held, or terra nullius “nobody’s land”). Participants who want to explore the wildness within and around us are welcome.
More about the journey of the Lab
In the first meetings, we will build group coherence and develop skills to support a collective container. This foundation will allow us to share and explore individual, ancestral, and collective experiences and traumas of how ownership of land inhabited by animals and plants affects natural rhythms and wildness within and around us. In addition to hosting and integrating trauma and lost kinship with nature, the lab will provide opportunities to explore alternate ways of relating including stewardship, reciprocity, and communion.
