What will we be exploring in this Lab?
This lab is for women who have experienced the loss of a child. This is a profound trauma that touches every dimension of life. Many cultures lack the ability to support the depth of grief accompanying child loss. While each mother has a unique story, many of the same emotions and experiences are shared, such as isolation. We will co-create a space to grieve and to presence our current experience of the loss. We will access our ancestral heritages, and uncover our own resilience. The intention is for a community of women to form as a supportive refuge for processing and integrating our loss.
Who is invited to participate?
This lab is intended for women who have lost a child of any age at any point in their lives and who wish to form a community with others who have also experienced this trauma. In addition to the lab sessions, participants will join weekly triads to deepen their learning and support one another. Although this process may be difficult, it is our hope that doing it in community will foster personal healing and begin to address the collective trauma layers often obscured by the personal pain that accompanies the trauma of losing a child.
More about the journey of the Lab
This 10-month lab supports mothers navigating child loss through the Collective Trauma Integration Process (CTIP). Participants move at their own pace, building capacity through presencing, sharing their stories, attunement, and shared witnessing. We will co-create a refuge where we can address the silence and isolation that often accompanies such traumatic loss. We will cultivate resources through accessing ancestral wisdom, rituals, and community. The focus is not on steps but on meeting experience gently, allowing trauma to thaw and restoring connection, resilience, and the flow of life.
