Indian and Residential Boarding Schools

A Survivor and Descendant Space for Healing and Connection

Online | English

What will we be exploring in this Lab?

This Lab centers the lived legacy of Native American boarding and residential schools across North America, where children were taken from their families, languages, and ways of life. The harm did not end with the closure of the schools; it continues through descendants, families, and communities today. Together we will tend grief, resilience, and memory, honoring Survivors and all who carry this history in their bodies, relationships, and lives.Full scholarships are available to participants in this lab. After acceptance, participants will receive a scholarship code to complete registration.

Who is invited to participate?

This invitation is for Survivors of Native American boarding and residential schools and for their descendants and families across Turtle Island who carry this living history. At this time, this space is held only for Survivors and descendants so that their voices, pacing, and needs remain centered. Participation is always by choice and guided by respect for consent, safety, sovereignty, and community-defined healing.

More about the journey of the Lab

This Lab is guided by Thomas Hübl’s Twelve Stages of Collective Trauma Integration and held in a ceremonial, survivor-centered container. Each gathering weaves meditation, qigong, and somatic attunement to support the body and nervous system. Through shared witnessing, story, film, art, silence, and reflection, we move at the pace of safety rather than urgency, allowing integration to unfold through trust, breath, consent, and the wisdom of each body present.

When will we be meeting?

This Lab meets at 10am Pacific / 1pm Eastern time, for 2 hours, on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of each month from February through December 2026. We begin on February 18th and end on December 16th. We will have 11 CTI process meetings and 10 resourcing sessions, over the course of 2026.
