My name is Maria Leister, and I’m a certified professional coach specializing in leadership, organizational change, and personal growth. I’m passionate about helping mission-driven leaders navigate complex challenges, lead with integrity, and build resilient, thriving teams. My coaching style is both direct and compassionate, and it’s grounded in the belief that effective leadership stems from a deep understanding of self and a commitment to serving others with dignity and respect. My Background
My coaching is informed by my background in leadership training and program development at institutions such as Harvard Medical School, UNICEF, and FIFA. In my role as Director of Training and Medical Bioethics at the Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Program in Refugee Trauma, I lead global initiatives to advance trauma-informed leadership, bioethics, and human rights in humanitarian settings. I hold a Juris Doctorate (JD) and a Master of Science in Bioethics (MSc), which provides me with a unique perspective on managing change and fostering psychological safety in challenging environments. As a certified professional coach through the Institute for Professional Excellence in Coaching (iPEC), I have the tools to guide you toward meaningful change.
