From March 25–29, 2026, women leaders, activists, and practitioners from around the world will gather online for the World Women Summit 2026: Women Rising for Peace, a global event dedicated to strengthening women’s leadership in peacebuilding during a time of increasing global division and crisis.
Hosted by Kosha Joubert and Sonita Mbah, the five-day summit—organized by The Pocket Project—brings together diverse voices working at the intersection of peacebuilding, collective trauma healing, and social transformation. Through keynote conversations, shared insights, and live gatherings, the summit highlights practical pathways for healing divisions and building resilient communities.
Women Rising for Peace
Across cultures and contexts, women are responding to some of humanity’s most urgent challenges with courage and clarity. They build trust across divides, mobilise communities, prevent violence, and help sustain peace long after formal agreements are reached.
The World Women Summit 2026 celebrates and strengthens this growing movement of women transforming the conditions that allow violence to persist while creating foundations for a more compassionate and resilient world.
A Trauma-Informed Approach to Peace
A central theme of the summit is the recognition that sustainable peace requires addressing deeper human and collective wounds. The program highlights a pathway to peacebuilding rooted in courageous witnessing, trust-building, community mobilisation, nonviolent action, conflict de-escalation, negotiation, and long-term resilience.
Through these principles, the summit emphasizes that peace is not a single event, but a continuous process shaped by moral courage, skill, and commitment.
Global Voices in Dialogue
The 2026 summit will feature keynote conversations with women leaders and practitioners working across fields such as human rights, climate action, community healing, and diplomacy.
