Why is your breath so important? – How we breathe reflects how we live.

In this community call we will gather to focus on our breath as a doorway to our mind, body and spirit. This call is the first module in a 3-part masterclass guided by Laurie Ellis-Young and George T. Ellis – Harness The Healing Power of Your Breath.

Our breath and our nervous system are deeply intertwined, playing a critical role in how we respond to stress and trauma. Through embodied practice, we will explore how the breath can support our wellbeing, and be a guide toward greater awareness, balance and connection.

“Breath is life, there is extraordinary power in your ordinary breath. Change your breath, change your life!” —Laurie Ellis-Young

You will learn to:

  • Utilize breath to befriend your body, mind and spirit
  • Understand the relationship between breath and your nervous system
  • Integrate specific BLIPPs (Breath Literacy’s Instant Power Practices) into daily life
  • Engage the ABC’s of Breath Literacy: Awareness, Balance, Connection
  • Employ correct mechanics for breathing optimally
