Jewish Trauma Relief Project
Jewish people in Israel and around the world are navigating a time of profound uncertainty, grief, and rising antisemitism. Many are holding layers of ancestral trauma, the shock of recent events, and the complexity of witnessing the suffering in Gaza while also experiencing fear, polarization, and moral distress.
The Jewish Trauma Relief Project (JTRP) offers safe, compassionate spaces for Jewish individuals and communities to receive social-psychological support, resilience coaching, and opportunities for reflection and grounding. Our commitment is to accompany Jewish people with dignity, clarity, and cultural sensitivity, without alignment to any political or ideological agenda. Our focus is human dignity, truth, and healing.
We recognize that trauma is not only personal, it lives in families, communities, and history. Jewish communities carry intergenerational memories of persecution, displacement, survival, and the longing for safety. These legacies shape responses to today’s crises and can be activated intensely in moments of global upheaval. Our approach honors the complexity and depth of these histories.

Core Components of the Project
Social-Psychological Support & Resilience Coaching
Individual and Group Support: Confidential sessions with trained coaches and social-psychological support practitioners help participants process stress, fear, and overwhelm, and strengthen inner resources. Participants may choose to work with Jewish or global coaches.
Community Support Networks: We host group spaces that foster mutual care, shared reflection, and collective grounding, supporting participants in navigating grief, moral tension, and identity fragmentation.
Cultural and
Historical Sensitivity
Trauma-Informed Awareness: Our work acknowledges the long arc of Jewish collective trauma, from centuries of antisemitism and the Holocaust to ongoing threats and polarization.
Culturally Relevant Practice: We integrate Jewish cultural rhythms, values, and traditions of reflection into our methodology, ensuring that the work resonates deeply and respectfully.
Resilience & Self-Regulation Training:
Mindfulness and Stress Reduction Techniques: We teach mindfulness, meditation, and relaxation techniques to help individuals manage stress and improve emotional regulation.
Empowerment Training: We offer training aimed at building emotional resilience, enhancing self-esteem, and fostering a sense of empowerment among participants.
Global Outreach and Community Building
Online access to support: Jewish communities across the world are interlinked. More than half of the global Jewish population lives in diaspora, carrying unique threads of belonging and vulnerability.
We offer: Collaboration with synagogues, community centers, and grassroots networks within a global community of practice committed to healing, nonviolence, and dignity for all people
Our Approach
The Jewish Trauma Relief Project is grounded in empathy, cultural precision, and trauma-informed competence. Our team includes Jewish professionals, coaches, and educators committed to creating a space where complex experiences can be met with truth and compassion.
We honor both the deep vulnerabilities and the moral questions that many Jewish people are carrying in this time. Our work does not promote any national ideology. Instead, it supports Jewish individuals and communities to reconnect with resilience, clarity, and integrity, and to contribute to a future grounded in justice, safety, and mutual recognition.
Support is offered free of charge.
